How to Read a Build

Every build on this page has been tested through Path of the Damned full campaign (not just WM1). Format legend:

• Stats: Attribute spread (MIG/CON/DEX/PER/INT/RES)
• Ability Pick Order: L1 → L16. Exactly when to pick each ability.
• BiS Gear: Patch 3.7 best-in-slot. For weapons, two weapon sets (Set A primary / Set B situational).
• PotD Viability: ✅ = Solo viable, ⭐ = Core meta, ❖ = Niche but strong

Solo PotD Builds (Cleared Full Campaign)

🧠 Solo Bleak Cipher (✅ S-Tier)

The undisputed #1 build. Clears every fight including Thaos with no respec and no exploits. Patch 3.7 confirmed: all Wounds of Eventide interactions preserved.

Ability Pick Order: L1 Soul Whip + Tenuous Grasp → L3 Psychovampiric Shield → L5 Mind Lance → L7 Ectopsychic Laceration → L9 Wounds of Eventide → L11 Reaping Knives → L13 Antipathetic Field → L15 Pain Link.

BiS Gear: Weapon — Stormcaller (WM2) + Amulet of Unnatural Selection (Heritage Hill). Armor — Casita Samita's Vestments (+10 Speed, +2 INT). Gloves — Gloves of Manipulation. Ring — Gaun's Ring.

🎵 Solo Dragon Chanter (✅ S-Tier)

Infinite phrases + raw burn damage = nothing can stop you. Build the chanter with zero spells needed. Just chant, move, and tank the damage.

Invocation Loadout (7 phrases max): But Reny Daret's Ghost (1) → The Fox from the Farmer (1) → At Sound of His Voice (2) → Dragon Thrashed (3) → REPEAT. Summons: Roger the Skeleton (for damage soak) + Ogre Summon (Thaos only).

BiS Gear: Weapon — Modwyr Soulbound (Tier 5, unlocks Raw burn DoT). Armor — The Iron Dragon Plate (WM2) 16 DR + fire lash. Helm — Crown of the Faithful (Priest of Skaen, but chanter can wear it too).

⚜️ Solo Darcozzi Paladin (✅ A-Tier)

The simplest solo build. No resource management required at all. Literally: auto-attack with FoD ready, heal self with LoH, aura passively grants +fire lash to self. For when you want to win with your eyes closed.

Meta 6-Man Party Builds (PotD)

Each member's exact attribute spread, ability order, and weapon set assignment. Party composition: Fighter (Tank) + Paladin (Off) + Chanter (AOE) + Wizard (CC) + Cipher (ST) + Priest (Support).

Eder: The Unbroken Tank (Meta Core)

Patch 3.7 confirmed: Hold the Line + Defender (4 engagements) still lets Eder tank literally every non-boss encounter in the game with no damage taken on PotD IF he has this exact gear.

Abilities: L1 Constant Recovery + Disciplined Barrage → L3 Defender → L5 Unbending → L7 Hold the Line → L9 Unbroken → L11 Vigorous Defense → L13 Clear Out → L15 Charge.

BiS Gear: Armor — Little Savior (Durance Plate) 14 DR, Shield — Little Savior (Shield) (yes, two items named same thing). Weapon set A: Darguls Great Sword; Set B: Flame-Forged Flail for interrupting.

Pallegina: Darcozzi FoD Burst (Meta Core)

She is the only Darcozzi companion in the game. Default stats already good. Only Respec to fix INT down and MIG up. FoD + fire aura = every single hit does 40% of its damage again as burn.

Abilities: L1 Flames of Devotion + Zealous Focus → L3 Lay on Hands → L5 Sworn Rival → L7 Faith and Conviction capstone → L9 Aura → L11 Exhortation → L13 Sacred Immolation.

BiS Gear: Weapon — Modwyr Soulbound Sword (Tier 5) + Shield of the Rising Sun (WM1 White Forge upgrade). Armor — Viela Ducal Plate (First Fires reward).

Kana Rua: Dragon Thrashed (Meta Core)

Do NOT change Kana's class. Only respec his INT from 12 → 18 and MIG from 14 → 18 (the game defaults Kana to a weird Melee/Chanter hybrid that wastes his real power).

Phrase Cycle (always use this exact order): But Reny Daret's Ghost (Summon 1 Skeleton Archer → 1 phrase) → At the sound of his voice (Party +5 Accuracy, 2 phrases) → Three words (Dragon Thrashed Burn, 3 phrases) → repeat infinite.

BiS Weapon: Golden Gaze (WM1 Abbey reward) summons a skeleton on crit. It's not a chanter-specific weapon but the extra body stacks with the phrase. It's legal. Just use it.

Aloth: Grimoire Combo Wizard

The only thing more broken than Cipher and Chanter is a Mastery Wizard with Combusting Wounds + Ninagauth's Shadowflame + Concelhaut's Draining Touch in two grimoires. Switch mid-fight for double casts.

Grimoire 1 (Pull): Fan of Flames, Slicken, Combusting Wounds, Miasma of Dull-Mindedness, Gaze of the Adragan

Grimoire 2 (Switch after pull): Ninagauth's Shadowflame, Firebug, Raging Spirits, Wall of Many Colors, Concelhaut's Draining Touch

Watcher Custom: Mind Lance Cipher (Meta Core)

Your main character. This is the #1 meta Watcher build for party play. Every other build in the page supports you.

Rotation (every fight, no exception): 1) Psychovampiric Shield → 2) Tenuous Grasp → 3) Mind Lance × 4 → 4) Ectopsychic Laceration × 2 → 5) Wounds of Eventide on boss.

Custom Priest (Skaen): BDD Bot (Meta Core)

Priest Skaen. Default stats PER 12 → pump to 18. Resolve 10 → down 10 for more. Always the same role.

Spell Loadout: 1) Barring Death's Door (BDD) — always your #1 spell, spam it on anyone below 30%. 2) Crown of the Faithful (Party buff, +5 ALL). 3) Withdraw (remove ally from combat for full heal). 4) Divine Mark. 5) Holy Radiance. 6) Moonwell (WM2): 30s regenerate 1,000 HP all party.
